Assistant Golf ProfessionalAt — Santa Ana Country Club
Applicant will be working in the golf shop, as a starter on the first tee, marshal, and shadowing during private lessons. Applicant will also be helping with group clinics if extra instructors are needed.
Duties being Performed but not Limited too:
Inventory of Golf Shop Merchandise
Ordering of Golf Shop Merchandise
Receiving Packages Daily
Inputting inventory into system to be priced and sold
Customer Service (Answering Phones, Charging out Customers)
Managing a Time Schedule on Golf Course and 1st tee
Shadowing and Teaching Lessons or Group Classes with supervision of 1st Assistant
Managing and ordering of Supplies for First Tee Station
Training:
Orientation to the facility will happen with HR and the 1st assistant. After that is completed, the student will shadow the 1st assistant to start out in all three learning goals. During his work on the first tee the starter will be questioned about procedures of handling responsibilities and duties. In the golf shop, student will be trained on the processes taken to run the operation efficiently and effectively. Tasks will be assigned like order product, and quizzes will be performed on product knowledge. During lessons the 1st assistant will conduct the lessons and let the student shadow and take notes on what is going on. This will allow them to sit together to be able to discuss questions the student may have. After that the student will help the 1st assistant teach lessons and give a few on their own down the road with supervision from the 1st assistant. Monthly reviews will be had so the employee can understand tasks that are needed to be handled and how to handle them more effectively and areas to grow on and how to grow.
