Research Assistant (RA) / Dr. L. MoriAt — CSUF - College of Humanities & Social Science
RAs are responsible for helping with study design and modification, creating online surveys on Qualtrics, IRB applications, data checking, cleaning, and conversion, running data analyses via SPSS, conducting literature reviews, creating/writing (APA format) research reports and presenting research at a professional conference. Additionally, RAs attend a weekly 2-hr lab meeting and are expected to be active participants. Finally, RAs are tasked with assisting with other lab-related issues as assigned by the Lead RA or research (internship) advisor.
Training:
RAs will learn to design and modify research studies, learn how to create online study protocols on Qualtrics, will gain experience in completing IRB applications, learn how to check, clean and convert data, learn how to run data analyses on SPSS and interpret output statements, will gain training and experience on conducting literature reviews, creating/writing (APA format) research reports, and submitting and presenting research, such as at professional conferences. Additionally, RAs must attend a weekly 2-hr lab meeting and participate in research discussions. Finally, RAs will gain training and experience with other lab-related tasks such as online data collection via Qualtrics.
