INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a Cultural Partnerships Intern to work hand-in-hand with the Programming Directors to translate Cinemauto’s voice into community partnerships within the art and film community. Under the supervision of our cultural curator, you’ll identify emerging filmmakers, marginalized community stories, and artists to consider for inclusion in our short film program.
You’ll grow and cultivate the Cinemauto community relationships via partnerships with artists and filmmakers.
This is a non-paid, internship with flexible hours (minimum of 10 hours per week) to reflect your college credit requirements. The position will be from our dreamy creative workspace at The Preserve in Hollywood.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Build from the ground up: As part of a tiny team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute dynamic new ideas and help bring them to life!
- Hours: This is an internship position (10-15 hours/week) and we’ll want to make the most of it! Get ready to think big, work hard, and be inspired.
- Coordinate Communication with filmmakers, artists, and brand partners: Working closely with our CEO/ Cultural Programming Director, you’ll work with filmmakers, artists, and other parties to secure on-time films, artwork, and promotional materials.
- Drive cultural marketing programming: We want to hear from you about emerging filmmakers, artists, and brands we should have on our radar and how Cinemauto can collaborate with them
- Bring Cultural Experiences to Life: Working closely with our experiential lead, you’ll assist in curating, programming, and coordinating creative talent and brand partner activations.
WHO YOU ARE
- Culturally aware of art, film, entertainment, design, music, CPG brands
- Culturally aware of the local indie film scene and the filmmakers, producers, and photographers creating outstanding work
- A film buff with a love for indie films, cult classics, and short films
- You have killer research skills, are highly organized, and pay great attention to detail
- You’re forward-thinking, driven, and committed
- You have a professional, positive attitude, great personality, excellent communication skills, and are ready for creative ideation contribution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in planning, producing, and executing campaigns, and events are a plus!
- Experience in identifying creative influencers- artists, filmmakers, makers
- Knowledge of partnership outreach- people, brands, B2B, nonprofits, filmmakers.
- Experience in content creation + constructing digital content calendars, planning, social media + community management, or copywriting
- Familiarity with video/film formats (video specs) is required, a basic understanding of film production is a plus
- Facility in photography, and/or video - the more content creation skills, the better- graphic design, is a plus!
- Ability to take direction, but also be proactive, self-motivated, and have an entrepreneurial can-do spirit
- Love for and familiarity with the Cinemauto brand + community
- Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Photoshop, and Indesign.
- Fluency in Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and other social media channels
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit from your college or university
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time college student working towards your Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

* Build and maintain a professional network within the art and film communities to support future initiatives and collaborations.
Project Management:
* Demonstrate strong project management skills by successfully managing multiple tasks and deadlines related to community partnerships and programming.

Orientation and Onboarding:
-Introduction to Cinemauto: Comprehensive overview of Cinemauto’s mission, values, and organizational structure.
- Roles and Responsibilities: Detailed explanation of the intern’s role, expectations, and key responsibilities within the organization.
Mentorship and Supervision:
- Assigned Mentor: Each intern will be given guidance, support, and regular feedback.
-Regular Check-ins: Scheduled meetings with the mentor to discuss progress, challenges, and development goals.
Workshops and Seminars:
- Community Engagement and Partnership Building: Training on effective strategies for engaging with communities and building sustainable partnerships.
-Cultural Sensitivity and Inclusion: Workshops on cultural sensitivity, understanding marginalized communities, and promoting inclusivity in programming.
Technical Skills Development:
-Research and Analysis Tools: Training on tools and techniques for researching and analyzing filmmakers, artists, and community stories.
-Project Management Software: Instruction on using project management tools to track tasks, deadlines, and project progress.
Practical Experience:
-Hands-on Projects: Interns will work on real projects, such as identifying and evaluating potential partners, organizing events, and curating film programs.
