Children in preschool learn best from playing, experimenting, and problem solving in a thriving environment. Staff are encouraged to include fun and creativity in their daily lessons, such as rhyming games, sing-alongs to introduce vocabulary along with building blocks to introduce math skills. By the end of the internship, the students will be able to produce a curriculum that covers many areas of child developments that include both educational and behavioral skills.

To help the student achieve their learning outcome, the student will work under the direct supervision of the Director and lead teacher in charge of the classroom. This is a great opportunity for the student to be in an educational environment and will be given the tools to conduct a class. The students will also be a part of staff meetings along with helping coordinate monthly curriculums and parent interaction. The student will evaluated and given feed back on a weekly base.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to seek position that requires childcare and education background.

The intern will demonstrate their learning outcome by completing various teaching and clerical task. Such task include keeping track of students attendance, monitoring students inside and outside the classrooms, in addition to meal and rest time. Interns will also be able to reinforce the teacher’s lesson plan and assisting in creating monthly lesson plans.
