Monterey Jazz Festival VolunteerAt — Monterey Jazz
Monterey Jazz is the oldest, continuously running Jazz Festival in the country. As an MJF Volunteer you have the opportunity to provide service to MJF and listen to great music in process. Volunteers range from ticket scanners, merchandise help, office help, ushers, etc. Volunteer hours are generally 4 hours in length.
25 service learner spots
- Must be 18 or older
Volunteers receive a general zoom training and the option for a grounds tour. On-the job training takes place for all volunteers. Our volunteer positions are simple and easy to figure out. We want people to have fun helping us.
Each department has a supervisor who can support the students. The Director of Operations and the Volunteer Coordinator are available the entire weekend for extra support where needed.
Official Monterey Jazz Festival Photographers are on site and will be taking pictures of our patrons, artists, volunteers and staff. Photographers do ask if they can take a photo of volunteers.
Students may be required to work at night (after 6pm). Or, students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people. As this is a music festival, there will be shifts that extend past 6pm, and volunteers will be working with other volunteers where the supervisor may not be in their location.
Email MJF Volunteer coordinator at volunteer@montereyjazz.org with day and times availability. Information about volunteering can be found at https://montereyjazzfestival.org/volunteer-information/
