Opportunity Summary 

Students will have first hand experience working with youth artists as they develop their artistic skills through photography at The Weston Collective. S

ervice Learning Students will assist in digital photography. We have a fully functional computer lab and set of digital cameras.

Schedule:

  • Tuesday
    • San Juan School from 3:00-4:00 pm 
    • Aromas School from 4:30-5:30 pm 
  • Thursday
    • San Juan School from 1:30-2:30 pm
    • Aromas School from 3:00-4:00 pm 

These days and times are subject to change.

  • San Juan School, 100 Nyland Drive, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045

Requirements:

 

Opportunity Training 

The organization will provide any and all training required for students to know how to use digital cameras, editing software, darkroom techniques, etc. A training day will be scheduled prior to the start of their service learning.

Weekly check-ins with the service learning students to be sure they are happy with their roles, if they want to expand on their duties, and/or if they need additional training assistance.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Every need service learning student will be briefed on the safety protocols of the program. We are partnered with a school so all safety goes through the school organization.
