Opportunity Summary
As the Marketing Assistant Intern you will learn the following:
- Social media management: gain experience creating and scheduling content. Engaging with the audience. Analyzing metrics on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tiktok, and or YouTube
- Content creation: create marketing materials using Canva or Adobe Express. Develop writing skills with a weekly blog and write compelling post content
- Email marketing: input and segment audience. Analyze open click rate
- Sales: participate in vendor events and engage with potential buyers. Local events in Orange County (3 to 6) and Los Angeles (1) on a weekend
- Analytics: understand Google Analytics and track website traffic
- SEO: research top keywords for trending children's book themes and topics
- Collaboration: work with the authors to find ways they can improve social media presence and new marketing strategies
- Time Management: balance multiple tasks and prioritize tasks
- Communication: effectively demonstrate direct and clear communication
Training
The supervisor will conduct bi-monthly Zoom meetings to discuss progress and marketing strategies. For B2C strategies, in-person vendor market training will be conducted. Remote position with daily communication via Zoom and email
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, the student will be able to effectively manage social media accounts and gain a following, create attractive posts that increase notability, and improve site traffic through SEO initiatives by writing weekly blog posts.
