Teacher Assistant InternAt — Town and Country Day School

Will assist the kindergarten teacher during class time. Will be responsible for cleaning the tables, helping during snack and mealtime, will assist in prepping activities for children. Will be responsible for supervision of children. 

Tasks:

- lead circle time
-prepping activities
-leads curriculum time
-shadows lead teacher
-have one on one with children

Training:

The student will meet with the kindergarten teacher to discuss how she manages her time in the classroom as well on developing strengths within the classroom. The student will be encouraged to interact with the children and have hands on experiences. The student will be asked to help with prepping activities.

Learning Outcome:

Take charge of a fully enrolled kindergarten classroom.
Will learn how to be fully curriculum prepped for a classroom.
Will learn different strategies for academically challenged children.
