Tutor for Adults With Disabilities - Independence Pathway ProgramAt — Pacific Grove Adult Education (PG Adult School) (PGUSD)
The Independence Pathway Program (IPP) at the Pacific Grove Adult School is seeking service learners to offer tutoring services for adult students with disabilities in basic Reading & Writing, Interpersonal Communication, and/or American Sign Language (ASL) skills. With guidance from staff, the service learners will facilitate instructional activities in class and/or conduct small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions with students to reinforce their learning. Experience in this fun, rewarding, and unique program would be ideal for individuals interested in pursuing careers in Education, particularly Special Education.
A service learner can provide tutoring in one, two, or three of the above listed subjects, depending on interest and experience and skill level. The IPP is an educational day program for adults 18+ with disabilities who aim to develop skills for continuing education, employment, and independent living. (More information can be found on the PGAE website.)
