Basic Skills Tutors - Math, Reading, WritingAt — Pacific Grove Adult Education (PG Adult School) (PGUSD)

Opportunity Summary

The Adult Basic Education Program at Pacific Grove Adult School needs service learners to assist the Teacher with individualized one-on-one or small group tutoring for adult students who are working to improve their basic language and math skills, many with the aim of attaining their High School Diploma or Equivalency. Providing academic support to these students is extremely impactful and rewarding.

As adults improve their basic skills they are able to realize their dreams of getting a high school diploma, advancing to college, getting a better job to earn a higher wage, training for a new career, and/or helping their children succeed in school. The school needs Math Tutors, Reading Tutors (to work with low-level readers) and Writing Tutors (to help students with essay-writing skills). Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience tutoring at any level is strongly preferred.
