Development InternshipAt — Casa de Amparo
The Development team at Casa is responsible for fundraising $2.5 million dollars each year for the foster youth who call Casa home. The Development team oversees all the fundraising events, the youth's holiday activities, the social media platforms, and collects/organizes all sorts of donations that directly help the foster youth. In this internship, you'll be able to get creative and craft social media posts that you will be featured on our website, Instagram, & Facebook. You will also help plan the youth's Holiday activities for Halloween, Thanksgiving, & during December. This internship is very flexible and will give you hands on experience in different areas of our Residential Services Program and the fundraising side.
Students will learn the importance of social media and how social media has an impact on the organization & community. Students will also gain knowledge on fundraising and learn the skills that it takes to make an event successful from start to finish by working closely with the Special Events Manager. You will also get to be creative and plan the Holiday activities for the youth to keep them engaged during their school breaks.
Students will have a training in person and a manual to refer to. The Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that the students get proper training from the person overseeing the student.
The students will reach out to the main contact and the main contact will schedule a meet and greet so that the student is familiar with our facility and the space. The student will be asked to get their background & TB test through our HR team and once this is complete, the student can officially start with their internship.
