Health Educator InternAt — Los Angeles County Department Of Public Health
Address health disparities that arise from inequitable social, economic, and environmental conditions for residents. Interns and interns will assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs and activities; participate in research analysis of identified public health issues; create and test health education-related materials based on community needs; conduct community outreach; and participate in internal/external committees and/or collaboratives. The undergraduate intern is placed within the Community Liaison Unit of the Regional Health Office.
Tasks:
-Participate in various outreach events and provide information and education on various health topics.
-Assist in conducting various community health presentations
-Assist in collecting data and creating and evaluating programming
-Assist in creating health education material
-Assist in managing internal calendar of events
