CCPHC Internship At — Central California Public Health Consortium

Opportunity Summary 

The goal of the CCPHC internship experience is for students to have the opportunity to apply their skills to regional public health programming in Central California. Interns will engage in various aspects of public health practice, including data analysis, project development and support, training support, policy analysis, and communications and administrative support. Interns will predominantly focus on tasks associated with Central California local health department initiatives in Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change (PSE), health and racial equity, climate change, and healthcare sustainability. It is anticipated that this internship will result in several regional reports and training events.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of public health principles and regional public health programming associated with health and racial equity, climate change and Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change. Interns will develop practical skills in data collection, analysis, program planning, and evaluation. Interns will strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by addressing complex regional public health challenges and developing innovative solutions.
