Project RAISE Human Services InternAt — CSUF - College of Natural Science & Mathematics
Project RAISE (Regional Alliance in STEM Education) focuses on increasing the number of Hispanic and low-income transfer students who complete bachelor’s degrees in STEM and enter careers in these fields. Human Services (HUSR) Interns will play a pivotal role in helping Project RAISE carry out programs and events.
Project RAISE HUSR Interns will connect with transfer students, staff the Transfer Resource Center, facilitate workshops at our partner community colleges, mentor students in the RAISE Transfer Program, assist with social and educational events, and work as part of the RAISE team. Interns will provide information about STEM degree preparation and STEM transfer processes, helping students identify and achieve their academic and career goals.
Under the direction of the Academic Success Coordinator, HUSR Interns will work closely with campus site staff, Project RAISE full time staff, and other peer advisors to ensure students’ needs are being met. HUSR Interns will participate in staff meetings, staff development, and evaluations. Additionally, they will gain leadership and presentation experience and serve as ambassadors for CSUF.
