Opportunity Summary
Are you looking for a flexible but impactful volunteer opportunity? VITALZ volunteer drivers are needed to provide Food Bank deliveries and transportation for people with dementia who live alone. Help make a difference in the lives of people who have little to no support.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
- Learn how to communicate compassionately with people living with dementia
- Understand issues surrounding food insecurity in San Diego County
- Gain insight into medical-social implications of disease management, especially as it relates to Alzheimer's and related dementias
- Get in-person experience working with people living with neurological, degeneratives diseases
- Learn about the socio-economic issues related to healthcare

- Meet via Zoom with program director/manager

- Background check (Alzheimer's San Diego pays)
