Opportunity Summary 

The Health Education Pathways Program (HEPP) aims to expose students to a wide variety of potential jobs and professions in healthcare. This multifaceted effort is specifically designed to increase retention and graduation of these diverse underserved students from high school to undergraduates and provide work-based learning to prepare the students to join the healthcare workforce.

HEPP exposes students to careers in healthcare (including allied health and behavioral health) and provides resources to assist students in preparing to join the healthcare workforce. Services include mentoring, field trips, professional panels, and more.

The mission of the Professions Advancing and Transforming Health (PATH) Academy is to support disadvantaged students interested in pursuing careers in the health professions to meet the growing health needs of diverse populations through academic guidance, experiential learning, and community partnerships.

Services include advising, mentoring, field trips, panels, application assistance, and more. 

Under the supervision of the HEPP/PATH Program Manager, HEPP/PATH Program Intern will provide assistance and support to the program.

Essential Duties:

\u25cf      Aid in event planning and setup

\u25cf      Assist with program coordination, outreach, and recruitment

\u25cf      Provide other health education grant related work

\u25cf      Additional clerical & related duties

Training:

Intern will assist in planning, outreach, and recruitment of HEPP/PATH Programs and Events. Intern will participate in weekly planning meetings. Intern will be assigned to complete tasks for program events including but not limited to creating Instagram posts, presentation slides, and worksheets. Interns will participate in one-hour group intern meetings focused on intern focused professional and personal development skills and weekly one-on-one check ins with supervisor.
