Opportunity Summary 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area such as Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education for members at school-site based afterschool programs.

Tasks:

Under consistent supervision intern will implement and administer programs, services and activities for members and visitors.
Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times. Prepare periodic activity reports.
Prepare weekly lesson plans outlining planned activities.

Training:

Weekly scheduled one-on-one training
Discussing daily plan and prep 30 min before the program begins. I will be supervising during program \\afterschool\\ doing rounds for each group. While doing that I check in with the intern to see how it's going, any concerns or questions. I will give advice and reminders as needed throughout the program. Closing, debrief and feedback once program is done for 30 min. I will always be meeting withe intern daily before and after the program.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to facilitate programs and activities inside and outside the classroom. The student will be able to monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members. Lastly, the student will be able to manage and desescalate member behavior.

Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
