Position Overview:
Cancer Kinship seeks a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to support the brand management and social media promotions of our newly launched online wig store, KinnerBeautyWigs.com. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, and brand development, while contributing to a meaningful cause. The intern will work closely with Cancer Kinship’s leadership staff and a partnered marketing firm, receiving training and oversight to develop professional skills.

      Qualifications:

      • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
      • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Creativity and attention to detail in content creation.
      • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote/hybrid setting.
      • A passion for community impact and social enterprise is a plus.
      • Interest or passion for beauty brands and empowerment is a plus. 

      Internship Details:

      • Hours: 10-15 hours per week

      Key Responsibilities:

      -Assist with the execution of a cohesive brand strategy for KinnerBeautyWigs.com across online platforms.
      -Create and manage engaging content for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, and others), aligning with the brand’s voice and target audience.
      -Collaborate with the marketing firm to develop social media campaigns, including content calendars, promotions, and performance tracking.
      -Monitor and analyze website traffic, social media metrics, and engagement to identify growth opportunities.
      -Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience behaviors to inform marketing strategies.
      -Support the development and promotion of creative advertising campaigns, including graphics, videos, and blog posts.
      -Assist in planning and promoting virtual or in-person events to increase brand awareness.
      -Coordinate with the Cancer Kinship team to highlight the social mission of KinnerBeautyWigs.com through storytelling and community-building efforts.

      -Gain hands-on experience in brand management and social media marketing for a growing online enterprise.
      -Receive training in digital marketing tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and more.
      -Learn the fundamentals of SEO, social media advertising, and content creation from industry professionals.
      -Develop professional communication skills by working closely with a marketing firm and Cancer Kinship leadership.
      -Build a portfolio showcasing content and campaigns created during the internship.
      -Gain insight into the nonprofit sector and the role of social enterprises in sustaining grassroots organizations.
