Position Overview:
Cancer Kinship is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented intern to assist Cancer Kinship’s staff in supporting the operations of Kinner Beauty Free Wig Salon, located in Brea, CA. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with cancer patient clients, assist in salon operations, and contribute to community outreach efforts. The intern will play a key role in helping cancer patients and survivors regain confidence and dignity through the free wig salon program while also supporting outreach initiatives to expand the program's reach.

Internship Details:
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist Cancer Kinship’s staff in welcoming and supporting clients visiting the salon, providing compassionate support during wig consultations and fittings.
-Help maintain salon cleanliness, organization, and inventory of wigs and accessories.
-Support the scheduling and coordination of client appointments, including communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
-Assist clients, under staff guidance, in selecting wigs that suit their style preferences and individual needs.
-Represent Kinner Beauty Free Wig Salon and Cancer Kinship alongside staff at community outreach events, tabling events, and other local engagements.
-Collaborate with Cancer Kinship’s staff to research and identify potential community partners (e.g., medical offices, hair salons, cancer support groups) for outreach opportunities.
-Assist in coordinating the drop-off of marketing materials (flyers, postcards, brochures) at identified community partner locations.
-Support Cancer Kinship’s outreach team in contacting potential community partners to explore listing KinnerBeautyWigs.com and the Free Wig Salon program on their websites or in their resource directories.
-Assist staff in documenting and organizing client feedback to improve service delivery.
-Help prepare and execute events, such as wig drives or community outreach efforts.
-Educate clients and the community about the Kinner Beauty Free Wig Salon program and Cancer Kinship’s broader mission in collaboration with staff members.
