Sports performance and rehab internAt — Olympus Movement Performance

Opportunity Summary 

Sport performance and rehab interns with shadow and assist our staff physical therapists and performance coaches. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about physical therapy, sports injuries, and the rehabilitation process as well as the coaching/training and implementation of performance fitness classes, personal training, and team training sessions.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will increase their knowledge of sports injuries and rehabilitation, enhance their communication and critical thinking skills, and may have the opportunity to create or lead a training session.

Opportunity Training 

On-site training will be provided during internship hours. Students are encouraged (not required) to have previous experience in this type of setting and/or interest in the fields of physical therapy, fitness, and sports performance training.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students may be required to lift weights and equipment for set up/tear down of physical therapy and performance training sessions as able.
