Opportunity Summary 

As a Video Production Intern, you will be an essential part of the Marketing, Communications, and Design team in Associated Students Inc., helping to create engaging video content for various platforms. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the shooting, editing, and producing of video materials that align with the organization’s branding and communication goals. You’ll work on a variety of projects, such as event highlights, promotional videos, social media clips, and more.

This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance your video production skills, build a diverse portfolio, and gain real-world experience in a collaborative environment.

Tasks:

Pre-Production Planning
• Assist in conceptualizing video ideas through storyboarding and scripting.
• Plan production schedules, select locations, and prepare necessary equipment for shoots.
Video Production
• Participate in video shoots, including setting up camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording.
• Operate video and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage.
Post-Production Editing
• Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Create motion graphics, enhance audio, and perform color correction to refine video quality.
• Organize and manage raw footage and project files to ensure efficiency.
Branding and Visual Storytelling
• Ensure all video content aligns with ASI’s branding guidelines and visual style.
• Utilize storytelling principles to create compelling and audience-focused video narratives.
Collaboration and Feedback Integration
• Work with the marketing team and clients to refine video concepts and incorporate feedback.
• Use project management tools (e.g., Basecamp) to track deadlines and updates.
Project Management and Delivery
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Prepare and export video files for various platforms, ensuring proper formats and resolutions.

Training:

Onboarding and Orientation
• Introduction to the Associated Students Inc. mission, branding guidelines, and team workflows.
• Overview of your role, responsibilities, and expectations for video projects.
Technical Skill Development
• Hands-on tutorials in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Training on camera equipment, lighting setups, and audio recording techniques.
• Basics of motion graphics, sound design, and color correction.
Content Planning and Pre-Production

• Guidance on storyboarding, scripting, and conceptualizing video content.
• Learning how to plan shoots, organize production schedules, and select locations.
Branding and Visual Consistency
• In-depth review of Associated Students Inc.’s visual style and tone for video projects.
• How to align video content with marketing goals and audience expectations.
Collaboration and Feedback
• Training on project management tools for tracking tasks and deadlines (e.g., Basecamp).
• Techniques for incorporating team and client feedback into revisions.
Project Execution and Delivery
• Tips for managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• File organization, exporting formats, and delivering final products for various platforms.

Learning Outcome:
