Opportunity Summary

The Helen Rucker Center Community Walks will bring together students and elderly community members to foster meaningful intergenerational relationships. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from local historians, deepening their understanding of Seaside, CA's rich heritage. This initiative also strengthens the connection between CSU Monterey Bay students and the Seaside community, creating a network of mutual support and engagement.

By bridging generations and fostering collaboration, Community Walks will contribute to a more unified and vibrant community. This initiative started out with meeting up once a week with Mrs. Rucker to engage and build the relationship between our namesake and students however, we would like to expand to other residents in our community.
