Opportunity Summary 

The Helen Rucker Center for Black Excellence engages and empowers African Diaspora students, faculty, staff, and community members through academic, professional, and cultural programming. The Center serves as a regional hub for Black advancement, scholarship, and engagement.

Service learners will have the opportunity to work with local high school aged youth. Participants will have the option to create computer science and/or digital design focused workshops for students. There will also be opportunities for service learners to offer tutoring/homework support for the youth and speak with them about being a college student and how to pursue a college education. This opportunity is completely in person.
