NVUSD Wellness Internship Program At — Napa Valley Unified School District
Welcome! NVUSD’s Wellness Program is seeking social work interns to provide school-based wellness services at Wellness Center sites and Community Schools. Interns will deliver individual and group counseling, engage families, consult with teachers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ mental health and coping skills, enhancing their educational and life outcomes. Placements are available at elementary, middle, and high school levels. Interns receive daily supervision from school-based mental health professionals and additional individual or group clinical supervision from licensed clinicians to meet university requirements. Provide Mental Health Support: Learn to support students’ mental health to improve their education and overall well-being. Work with Families: Engage families to create a team approach to student success. Support Teachers: Consult with teachers to address classroom challenges and student needs. Collaborate with Teams: Work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services for students. Gain Practical Experience: Apply social work skills in elementary, middle, or high school settings. Empower Students: Help students build coping skills to achieve their academic and personal goals.
