Opportunity Summary 

The Senior Center Tech Advisor will serve as the primary resource for assisting seniors with
their technology-related questions and challenges. This role involves providing one-on-one
support, leading group workshops, and helping seniors navigate devices, apps, and online tools
to improve their digital literacy and confidence. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping
others, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working with a diverse group of
older adults.

Requirements:

  • Background Check (required if working with youth)
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English desired but not required.
Opportunity Training 

Learn how to explain technical concepts in simple, non-technical language and adapt your
teaching style to different learning paces. Develop strategies to remain patient, encouraging,
and supportive when working with seniors who may feel frustrated or overwhelmed by
technology. Learn how to teach seniors to protect themselves online, including recognizing
scams, creating strong passwords, and avoiding phishing attempts. Understand how to help
seniors manage their personal information and privacy settings on devices and apps.
