SP25 CST 462S: Computer/Digital Literacy Curriculum WritersAt — Nyamboyo Technical School
Nyamboyo Technical School (NTS) is offering a service-learning opportunity for students to help develop a computer and digital literacy curriculum for disadvantaged youth in southwestern Kenya. Last year, CSUMB students created the curriculum outline and developed some lessons, with Ethan Bonavida continuing to build materials. However, due to time constraints, Ethan is no longer able to volunteer, though he will provide support as needed.
NTS is seeking a new team of students to continue this work and help complete the curriculum. A larger team is preferred to maximize progress.
NTS is a non-profit, 3-year vocational school in Nyamboyo Village, serving teens and young adults, ages 14-20, from impoverished backgrounds. In addition to vocational training, students receive English-language classes, computer education, and daily meals. This opportunity offers students a chance to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience in curriculum development and digital literacy education.
This is assigned by the CST 462 Faculty.
