Opportunity Summary 

By the end of the classroom volunteer experience, students will have gained valuable insights into instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and student engagement practices. They will develop a deeper understanding of diverse learning needs and effective communication with both students and educators.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

They will acquire practical skills in lesson facilitation, supporting student learning, and collaborating within an educational environment. This experience will also enhance their ability to reflect on teaching methods and adapt to dynamic classroom settings, preparing them for future roles in education.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive hands-on training from a highly qualified, certificated teacher who will provide direct guidance and mentorship throughout the experience. This training will include instructional best practices, classroom management strategies, and techniques for supporting diverse learners.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students will be required to provide proof of a negative TB test within the last four years and complete a school Live Scan fingerprint background check. These requirements are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
