CAS Arts Assistant InternAt — All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation

All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation Arts Assistant Intern will be working closely with the community artist to create materials and present them at community events.

Tasks:

• Research and design exhibition.
• Support lesson plans with focus on 5th & 6th grade curriculum.
• Create prototypes.
• Organize with service-learning students for public events.            

Training:

Shadow community artist with a variety of students in different age groups in both traditional and non-traditional classrooms. 

Learning Outcomes:

• How to prepare a California state visual arts standards curriculum-based art lesson that has full integration across all grade levels.                                 
• Learning skills/grade scaffolding.                                                                 
• How to adjust and access art projects for a variety of students of different ages and different skills.                                                                             
• Expanded sequencing of skills and projects with historical, cultural, scientific, and mathematical integration.
