Prevention and Early Intervention or Family Resource Center InternshipAt — Sierra Vista Child & Family Services
Merced: PEI (Prevention and Early Intervention) internship: provide social skills and anti-bullying curriculum in a classroom setting; provide outreach, access and referral information. ECM (Enhanced Care Management): provide outreach, provide direct service with access and referral; case manage. Modesto: Family Resource Center: provide access and referral and provided social skills in a group setting; provide outreach activities.
Interns receive the same on-boarding trainings as hired employees. Agency Orientation, program orientation, meeting with program supervisors, and on-line trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
There are no safety concerns for these internships. If in a school setting, intern has SVCFS staff, school personnel and crisis protocols to help ensure safety. If in the FRCs, staff have agency safety and emergency protocol to help ensure safety.
