CaregiverAt — Homewatch Caregivers of Yorba Linda

Caregiver provides personal care and support services to clients who require assistance due to illness, injury, disability, or aging. The caregiver's responsibilities include helping clients with activities of daily living, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities Include: Personal Care Assistance (diapering, showering, grooming, etc), Medication Reminders, Companionship & Emotional Support, Health Monitoring (vitals, reporting behaviors/changes, etc), Transportation, and Light Housekeeping (dishes, laundry, changing bedding, etc). 

Tasks:

Assisting clients with Assisted Daily Living one on one in their homes or in Facilities. Caregivers will work with clients who have pre existing conditions such as Dementia, Alzheimers, Stroke, or other conditions. They will assist with safety, mobility, diapering, toileting, showering, meal prep, medication reminders, health monitoring, and light housekeeping.

Training:

All Caregivers are required to have 12 hours of annual training completed each year of employment. This is in person and online approved training courses. Training includes specialized care like Alzheimers & Dementia, Transferring, Home Safety, Health Decline Reporting, and much more.

Learning Outcome:

Assist clients of all ages with Assisted Daily Living Tasks such as Personal Care, Companion Care, Ambulation, and Safety. Caregiver will also know what they can and cannot do per federal and state guidelines.

Risk Note:

The caregivers will be at clients homes at night one on one with clients. They are at the clients residence. We are insured, bonded, and covered. Caregivers must go thru orientation prior to working any shifts and we explain what to do in an emergency. Our phone line is available 24/7 and we answer the phones here in the office. So they will reach either the Director or Scheduler directly.

Caregivers work in the field in the clients homes. The Director works out of the office in Yorba Linda. However, we do all intros with clients in the field. We check in weekly at the clients home with the caregiver and the client.
