Our Volunteer Department plays a critical role in connecting passionate individuals to impactful opportunities that drive our mission forward. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Volunteer Onboarding & Recruitment Intern to join our team.

Position Overview:

As an intern in the Volunteer Department, you will gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new volunteers. You will work closely with the Volunteer Services team to assist with the recruitment process, facilitate smooth onboarding for new volunteers, and contribute to creating a positive volunteer experience. This is an excellent opportunity for students studying Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields to apply their knowledge in a practical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing potential volunteers.

  • Onboarding Assistance: Help in preparing onboarding materials and conduct orientations for new volunteers.

  • Database Management: Maintain and update volunteer databases, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for new volunteers, answering questions and providing them with necessary resources.

  • Training & Development: Assist in scheduling and coordinating volunteer training sessions.

  • Feedback Collection: Collect and analyze feedback from volunteers to improve onboarding and recruitment processes.

  • General Administrative Tasks: Support the Volunteer Department with any administrative work as required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Must complete a background check with our organization or have a completed background check within the last 6 months.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for volunteerism and social impact.

  • Previous experience in recruitment or HR-related activities is a plus but not required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with volunteer management software is a plus.

Training;

Organization will provide general organization and internship orientation and training. They will meet with a mentor on a weekly basis to understand the role and responsibilities. Student will have a mid-way and final performance evaluation.
