Opportunity Summary 

Sales Assistant – Brand Support & Account Management

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales efforts and help ensure our brand is consistently and positively represented across our accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in showing seasonal product lines to buyers and retailers during appointments and events

Visit retail accounts regularly to check on merchandising, ensure brand standards are upheld, and troubleshoot any issues

Help maintain strong relationships with existing accounts by providing excellent customer service and following up on their needs

Support in organizing samples, preparing line sheets, and managing sales materials

Gather feedback from accounts to help improve product presentation, sell-through, and overall customer experience

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the brand is well-positioned and each account receives the attention it needs

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual presentation

  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage time across multiple tasks

  • Passion for the brand and an understanding of retail environments

  • Willingness to travel to store locations as needed

Training:

Students will receive a comprehensive general orientation during the first day, introducing them to the brand, company values, product categories, and expectations for the internship. Ongoing training will include weekly one-on-one mentor meetings to provide support, track progress, and offer feedback.

Interns will also participate in job shadowing during sales appointments, showroom visits, and retail check-ins to gain real-world exposure to the sales cycle. Additional learning opportunities will include the review of line sheets, merchandising guidelines, and sales tools, as well as an overview and contextualization of assigned tasks to ensure clarity and relevance.

Where applicable, students will be provided with product samples and training materials to enhance their knowledge of the line and the brand's presentation standards. The goal is to provide hands-on, guided experience in a supportive environment that fosters professional growth and learning.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the sales process within the wholesale/retail industry

Assist in preparing and presenting seasonal product lines to buyers

Evaluate in-store merchandising to ensure brand consistency and quality presentation

Communicate effectively with retail accounts to support customer satisfaction and brand performance

Organize and manage sales materials including line sheets, samples, and product data

Collaborate with the sales team to analyze sell-through and provide feedback for future seasons

Develop professional communication, time management, and organizational skills in a real-world business setting
