Functional Behavioral Interventions is a small, quality-oriented agency that provides ABA services to children with special needs, including Autism. We are seeking individuals who are excited to learn about the science of Applied Behavioral Analysis to treat behavioral concerns and teach new skills. We are a small team of BCBA's and professionals with an impressive background and experience who are looking to train and support the next generation of Behavior Analysts. We enjoy what we do and seek others who will be able to share our excitement and passion of making Applied Behavior Analysis work for everyone.

Tasks:
Identify an individuals motivation in regards to their behavior patterns.
Identify items/toys that are rewarding for the individual.
Present learning opportunities and provide appropriate rewards for desired behavior, while minimizing reaction to inappropriate behavior.
Record daily Data regarding skills taught and review client development.
Write objective, professional notes regarding the daily sessions and activities conducted.
Training:
Students will receive initial trainings on the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In addition, students will receive ongoing training, supervision, and support in order to learn the functions of behavior and create and contriving learning opportunities for individuals served.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to understand how to observe, record, and measure behavior trends of individuals served.
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to understand how to build rapport with new clients and implement basic strategies to effect behavior change and teach new, functional skills to individuals served.
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to document daily therapy sessions in a professional, objective manner.
