Front office intern for a pediatrics clinic

Tasks:

Assist/Shadow Clinic Manager with the following;

Check patient insurance eligibility.
Confirm patient appointments.
Give the appropriate forms for every appointment.

Training:

Student will have an orientation with clinic manager.
Student will be shadowing front office staff.
Once student has gained basic knowledge, student can assist in the tasks performed by front office staff.

Learning Outcome:

1. By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to assist front office staff in checking in patients for their appointments.
2. By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to assist front office staff in organizing documents needed for each patient.
3. By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to develop their customer service skills.
