Psychology Research & Writing InternAt — The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation
Seeking a student who is passionate about psychology and/or neuroscience to write research papers for our organization.
Tasks:
The Intern is required to write articles about different mental health problems and how they affect people with epilepsy. All articles must be in APA format and must use credible resources.
Training: Mentor will provide all training when it comes to article set up, finding credible resources, how to prevent plagiarism, and any other help they need. Mentor agrees to meet on Zoom as needed and will provide feedback and assistance on all articles.
Learning Outcome: The Goal is for the intern to learn how people with comorbidities such as epilepsy can be impacted by mental health conditions. Comorbidities such as epilepsy are complex and are often paired with other conditions, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and other conditions. By the end of the internship, the goal is for the intern to see that any future clients they care for could have multiple conditions and be dealing with serious mental health complications and that caring for them can be very challenging.
