Opportunity Summary 

Join our team as an intern with the opportunity to obtain the knowledge and see where all the medicine happens. Work along side tenured veterinary professionals from R.V.T.'s, Veterinary Assistants and Veterinarians.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Training will include a combination of verbal, written, observational and hands-on instructions with another veterinary professional always present. Training topics will include but not limited to: Animal restraint, animal safety, animal handling, clinical procedures/protocols, diagnostics and lab work, client communication, animal nursing and care, surgical and anesthetic support, emergency response and hospital ethics.

Opportunity Training

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Wear proper PPE when handling animals and cleaning with disinfectants in the hospital. Wear closed toed athletic shoes. No hanging jewelry on neck or face. Adhere to safety guidelines while on site and/or handling any type of animal. No handling of fractious or cautious animals, including police K9's.
