Opportunity Summary 

Volunteers will play an important role in supporting and enhancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities for students. These individuals will work directly with children to facilitate hands-on projects, guide learning experiences, and ensure a safe and engaging environment. Key responsibilities of STEM volunteers include: Supervising small groups of students during experiments or engineering challenges. Assisting with setup and cleanup of materials and equipment. Encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration among participants. Providing individual support or instruction when needed, under the guidance of program staff.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

After participating in the STEM activities, children will: Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills Gain hands-on experience with science, technology, engineering, and math concepts Learn to collaborate and communicate effectively with peers Build confidence in exploring new ideas and asking questions Understand real-world applications of STEM through fun, interactive projects
