Social Service SupportAt — Reach Out West End
Individual will, serve as a support to facilitators providing parenting classes and mother mental health and wellness classes. The individual will support the Resource Center which provides indirect and direct services to veterans, youth, unsheltered, and families in need, including those individuals re-entering the work force.
Tasks:
Serve as a support
Identify resources
Provide facilitation support
Support outreach efforts
Engage in individual case management contacts with families
Training:
The student will gain access to resources in the area, including vetting them and helping to create a guide accessible organization wide. The student will obtain exposure to facilitating classes for Nurturing Parenting Classes and Mothers Wellness program
Learning Outcome:
Enhance knowledge in providing direct services to the community.
Strengthen skill set needed to connect and serve the community
Engage in delivery of direct and indirect services that will decrease risk factors and increase protective factors in the community.
