Improving Lesson Quality at OppiaAt — Oppia Foundation
If you are passionate about education and have got a keen eye for detail, this opportunity is for you!
Our volunteer community at Oppia Foundation has created a series of over 90 mathematics lessons that have proved highly engaging and effective. Their success has been possible because of our very careful content creation process, with multiple rounds of review to ensure that all the explanations are as clear as possible. We are expanding our reach to other areas of mathematics, science, finance and are committed to maintaining the same level of quality.
8 Service Learner Slots
We are looking for volunteers with a keen eye for detail and who have a strong grasp of mathematics, science or finance at a basic level. Our ideal volunteer should be able to edit and proofread educational content in these subjects, evaluate suggestions for improving the lessons and advise on which changes should be made.
Students will be introduced to our Lesson review leads and given an overview of the lesson review project, as well as comprehensive documentation explaining how to review lessons and suggestions provided by our learner feedback team.
Opportunity Supervision
All reviews provided by students will be cross reviewed by the team leads, giving them detailed feedback (if applicable). Additionally, the lesson review team leads will hold check-in meetings to help address any questions or concerns that students may have. Students who have mastered the process of reviewing lessons (and suggestions provided by the learner feedback team) may be invited to edit the lessons directly on the Oppia website.
