Student Assistant in the Sport, Exercise & Performance PsychAt — CSUF - Public Health
This position is for an internship within the sport, exercise and performance psychology lab assisting with various research projects that are on-going. Students within this internship will assist with data collection (e.g., survey completion, in-person data collection assessing performance). The student will also assist with data analysis using both quantitative and qualitative software. This experience will engage the student in various aspects of sport and exercise psychology research.

Describe different methods of research in sport and exercise psychology
Utilize computer software programs for data collection and analysis
Communicate research in the area of sport and exercise psychology both written and orally
Training
Meet regularly with the student to teach specific computer programs
Guide the student in conducting literature review and communicating research findings
Provide opportunities for students to be exposed to a variety of different types of data collection
Tasks/Duties
Assisting with on-going data collection in the Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology Lab
Coding data (social media posts, video recordings, text based data) using computer programs
Conduct basic data analysis under supervision of graduate students and Dr. Wilson
Collaborate with fellow students creating a poster for a presentation at a student-focused conference
