Opportunity Summary 

This internship will take place in the City Manager’s Office, where you will work on projects across multiple divisions and departments. Through these assignments, you’ll gain firsthand experience in how a city operates, with projects that may include communications, research, policy analysis, community engagement, special events, and administrative support.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this internship, students may gain knowledge and skills in municipal operations, project management, research and policy analysis, professional communication, teamwork across departments, and community engagement. Interns will also develop an understanding of how local government functions, how decisions are made, and how to contribute effectively to public sector projects.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive ongoing guidance to support their internship responsibilities. Training may include an overview of city operations, department functions, project management techniques, professional communication skills, and tools or software relevant to assigned projects. Mentorship from City staff will provide practical guidance and feedback throughout the internship.
