Opportunity Summary 

The Video Editing Intern will participate in a structured, supervised internship designed to provide hands-on experience in post-production editing for digital and social media platforms. This role emphasizes skill development, mentorship, and exposure to professional content workflows within a real-world branding and marketing environment.

Under the supervision of the Creative Director the intern will assist with editing video content while learning industry-standard post-production practices. The internship is intended to support academic learning outcomes related to digital media production, communications strategy, and branded storytelling.

Tasks:

Under supervision, the intern will:

Edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro according to established brand standards

Prepare edited content for use on social media and digital platforms, ensuring correct formatting and quality

Upload final edited videos to Google Drive following established file-naming and organization systems

Update content status and progress a Google spreadsheet

Make revisions to video content based on supervisor feedback and content approval guidelines

Maintain organized project files to support efficient collaboration and workflow

Training:

Students will receive a structured onboarding and ongoing training program to support learning outcomes. Training will begin with a general orientation, including an overview of the organization, brand identity, content goals, and professional expectations.

During the initial training period, the intern will receive hands-on instruction in Adobe Premiere Pro, including project setup, file management, timelines, exporting formats, and platform-specific requirements. The supervisor will provide an overview and contextualization of assigned tasks, explaining how editing work supports broader marketing and communication strategies.

The intern will participate in job shadowing and guided practice, reviewing previous video examples and work samples. Throughout the internship, the intern will engage in weekly one-on-one mentor meetings to receive feedback, discuss revisions, and track skill development.
