Health Policy Researcher and CoordinatorAt — Inland Equity Community Land Trust
This position serves as Health Policy Researcher and Coordinator. This person is responsible for managing volunteer researchers, and coordinating the research and reporting of the use of Home as Health funds in San Bernardino County and Riverside County.
Tasks:
There will be weekly check-ins and bi-monthly meetings with the Riverside and San Bernardino Tenants’ Union. I will introduce the intern to my contacts in the COC, Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS) and the members of the IE Tenants’ Union. We will be working together on the collection of the data and stories from people who have accessed the program services. The intern will compile the report with a group of volunteers from the community who want this report to use for advocacy, education and media attention.
Training:
Developing a report that demonstrates the program outcomes of San Bernardino County, Riverside Country, IEHP and Riverside University Health Systems administration of Medical and Whole Person Care funding. The project will compile the reported data presented to both counties’ Continuum of Care (COC) and county budget reports. The project will include managing volunteers in both counties who are currently engaged in housing advocacy. This will provide an opportunity to develop coordination and team management skills.

To compile and present quantitative and qualitative data to program officers, policy makers and the media.
