Tasks:
Students will perform the following professional and pre-professional duties under supervision:
1. Create and edit marketing content, including social media posts, blog drafts, newsletters, presentations, and campaign materials
2. Plan, schedule, and support execution of digital marketing and social media campaigns
3. Conduct market, audience, and competitor research and synthesize findings into actionable insights
4. Assist with brand management by applying brand guidelines across marketing assets
5. Use analytics tools to track performance and prepare basic reports and recommendations
6. Support website content updates and content optimization initiatives
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (consultants, designers, product specialists) on marketing projects
8. Participate in campaign planning, brainstorming sessions, and strategic discussions
9. Prepare internal documentation, content briefs, and campaign summaries
10. Test and iterate marketing ideas based on feedback and performance data
11. Present work, findings, or recommendations to mentors or team members
12. Organize digital assets and maintain content libraries
Training:
Students will receive a structured learning experience designed to support professional development and academic outcomes. The placement begins with a mandatory general employer orientation, covering organizational values, policies, tools, workflows, and product demonstrations. Role-specific onboarding will provide context for assigned tasks, learning objectives, and quality expectations, supported by relevant work samples.
Throughout the placement, students will have monthly one-on-one mentor meetings for guidance, feedback, and progress review. They will engage in job shadowing, team meetings, and collaborative work to understand real-world marketing practices. Targeted skills training and workshops will cover marketing fundamentals, digital tools, and AI applications. Students will also complete supervised tasks, conduct limited research or testing where appropriate, and receive ongoing feedback to support reflective learning and skill development.
