Opportunity Summary 

Wellness Center Coaches are seeing students, working with parents and school personnel to meet students needs in programs K-12. Everyday is an opportunity to intervene with individuals and the school and family system. You are learing among a team of mental health providers including licensed clinical social workers, school psychologists, and administrators to support and enhance student's mental health needs.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

MSW students will have skills to engage students, engage in assessing their needs, help determine goaals and navigate the student and family to the appropriate mental health provider either within the school based mental health program or in the community. MSW students will co facilitate groups, engage in preventative suicide risk interventions and reducing the stigma of mental health.

Opportunity Training 

MSW students will participate in all training opportunities offered to the School Based mental health. Training topics include; Mandated reporting, ACE's training, Restorative practices, Motivational interviewing etc. Students will also receive individual and group supervision to support their field placement.
