Calling all MSWsAt — Travis Unified School District - School Social Work Program
Looking for a dynamic and supportive School Social Work internship? Travis Unified offers MSW interns the chance to learn from experienced, credentialed School Social Workers who are passionate about mentoring the next generation. You’ll gain hands-on experience across Tiers 1 and 2 of MTSS interventions—everything from universal supports to targeted small-group work—while serving a richly diverse student population from Vacaville, Fairfield, and Travis Air Force Base. This is your opportunity to build a strong foundation in school-based practice, develop culturally responsive skills, and make a real impact in the lives of students and families. Join us and take your social work career to the next level!
Interns will learn to design and implement Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This includes developing universal strategies to promote positive school climate, facilitating targeted small-group interventions, and collaborating with educators and families to support student success. Interns also work with a diverse student population from Vacaville, Fairfield, and Travis Air Force Base, building cultural competence and practical skills that prepare them for a successful career in school-based social work.
