Opportunity Summary 

This internship provides hands‑on experience supporting underrepresented high school students enrolled in the Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) program at San Pasqual Academy. The academy serves foster and probationary youth who often face significant social, emotional, and academic barriers. Interns play a vital role in helping students build stability, resilience, and pathways toward educational and personal success.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Support youth who have experienced trauma, system involvement, or placement instability. Promote equitable access to academic, social‑emotional, and career‑readiness support. Strengthen the network of caring adults who contribute to student well‑being, belonging, and motivation.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

The intern will be expected to work with students who have experienced trauma and who require support with behavioral and emotional regulation.
