Opportunity Summary 

The student will shadow multiple units within the police department, including: Investigations, Emergency Communications Center and Crime Scene Specialists.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

The student will have a better understanding of how a police officer or detective prepares / conducts a criminal investigation and how the case is presented to the District Attorney's Office for review. The student will develop an understanding of the importance of communication, organization and report preparation.

Opportunity Training 

On the job training will be provided throughout the internship.
