Opportunity Summary

Our student internship is a voluntary program designed to give our interns a glimpse of what working at an outpatient physical therapy facility is like. Students will primarily be shadowing our clinic's Exercise Specialists, which will also give students an idea of the line of work they may pursue after earning a degree in the healthcare field. Students will also have opportunities to shadow our physical therapists (as the schedule permits).

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

Students will observe patient therapy programs and develop skills in exercise form and patient care. Students will also learn skills needed to maintain clinic facility duties and organization.

Opportunity Training

Students will have an orientation day that will go over all expectations of facility aide duties and patient observation.

Opportunity Application Instructions

Applicants must be majoring in Kinesiology or another healthcare-related major. Applicants must have already taken Anatomy I & II and a Kinesiology-related class. We prefer applicants to be in their senior year, but we are willing to take students in their junior year. Please email our Student Internship email: exercise@walkerphysicaltherapyinc.com Include your resume and a brief description of why you are applying to our facility.
