Join our team at Casa Teresa! We are looking for a Development Intern to help support our mission of providing a loving home and a healing journey for pregnant women in crisis. We are looking for someone with a warm, professional demeanor and a strong attention to detail who is eager to learn and grow alongside our development team.
This role offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of nonprofit operations- from donor stewardship and grant coordination to event logistics. Working within our Trauma-Informed Care model, you will gain valuable experience in a professional, mission-driven environment while honoring the dignity and resilience of the residents we serve.
Primary Responsibilities
Grant Coordination & Data Integrity
• Assist the Development team in the calendaring and submission of grant proposals.
• Maintain the master grant calendar to track application deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Perform regular data entry and record updates in Bloomerang (CRM) to ensure donor information is accurate and current.
Donor Stewardship & Communications
• Creation of the Monthly E-Newsletter.
• Prepare personalized acknowledgement letters for first-time donors and monthly supporters.
• Update and manage the Guardian Angel monthly donor installment messages, ensuring recurring supporters receive timely and meaningful impact updates.
Fundraising & Special Events Support
• Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising events, including tasks during pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up phases.
• Assist with event-related data entry and donor guest list management.
Volunteer Coordination & Administrative Support
• Conduct facility tours for prospective volunteers and interviewees, serving as a professional representative of Casa Teresa’s mission.
• Manage the weekly volunteer babysitting schedule, monitoring sign-ups to ensure adequate childcare coverage for resident classes and appointments.
• Assist in general office administrative tasks as needed to support the Development department.
